Diontae Johnson reps Ben Roethlisberger in awesome victory Twitter post

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson had the back of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger following the team’s Week 5 win over the Denver Broncos.
The Pittsburgh Steelers were on a three-game losing streak entering Week 5, and had to face a tough Denver Broncos defense. That did not look good for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on paper, who had struggled through the first four games of the year. On Sunday, the veteran quarterback silenced his critics by helping lead the team to a 27-19 victory over the Broncos.
Following the game, Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson decided to give an endorsement to Roethlisberger, as he tweeted out a photo of himself and the signal caller with a caption reading “QB1 100-percent.”
Ben Roethlisberger silences critics on opening drive vs. Broncos
When watching Roethlisberger play this season and last year, it was evident that his arm strength was not where it used to be. Well, on the opening drive against the Broncos, the two-time Super Bowl champion connected with Johnson on a huge 50-yard touchdown reception.
Roethlisberger was not done just yet, as he threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to second-year wideout Chase Claypool in the end zone to extend their lead to 24-6 in the third quarter.
The Steelers did see that lead shrink as the Broncos began mounting their second-half comeback. However, Pittsburgh’s defense stepped up in the red zone, as Denver quarterback Teddy Bridgewater threw an interception to cornerback James Pierre on fourth-and-goal to clinch the victory.
Roethlisberger finished his day by completing 15-of-25 pass attempts for 253 yards and the two aforementioned touchdowns.
With the Steelers avoiding a disastrous 1-4 start to the season, they will now set their focus on extending their winning streak next week when they face the Seattle Seahawks.
