Eagles fans are struggling despite the team’s 2-3 start and win against Carolina on Sunday.

Sometimes, wins look ugly. That was the case for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon against the Carolina Panthers.

Nick Sirianni will take any win he can get. Heck, the Eagles are rolling out Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders and a bunch of young wideouts on offense. It’s not a lot to write home about.

Hurts had an interception and a pair of rushing touchdowns on the day. Sirianni’s offense left much to be desired, especially for Eagles fans who perhaps never left his bedside.

Eagles fans want Doug Pederson back

It’s tough to replace a Super Bowl-winning coach, and Sirianni is learning that firsthand. Howie Roseman was given the green light to fire Pederson at the end of last season. The two sides agreed it was the right time to move on, and Roseman thanked Pederson for his time leading the Birds.

Was it really the right time to hire Sirianni, though?

There were many, many more.

The sad truth is that there were always going to be growing pains with Sirianni. This was only his fifth NFL game in charge of a franchise. Suggesting he ought to be a little better is fair, but we must take into account that this is also Philly. The fans aren’t exactly patient.

So, we return to the spare parts. With this team on the field, what exactly did Eagles fans expect?

The Eagles are in a retooling of sorts. It’s fair to question whether Roseman is the right man to lead that reconfiguration, but give Sirianni at least a full season before you’re calling for his predecessor.

For the love of god.

dark. Next. Eagles could be without Lane Johnson
