Myles Garrett knows his Cleveland Browns teammate A.J. Green got screwed over by the refs.

While it will go down as a five-point road loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, Cleveland Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett said the pass interference call on cornerback A.J. Green was atrocious.

Then again, so was the Big 12 pillow fight of a defensive effort by the Browns in the final frame. Cleveland allowed 26 points to Justin Herbert and the Chargers in the fourth quarter to lose 47-42 to fall to 3-2 on the season. Very rarely can anyone say one blown call ruined a game, but Green getting a pass interference call on a fourth-and-4 defending wide receiver Mike Williams was that.

The Bolts hit pay dirt on a new set of downs after Williams should have been the one to get flagged for offensive pass interference.

What makes this loss so tough for the Browns is the Chargers have the head-to-head tiebreaker. These project as two of the seven best teams in the AFC this year. The outcome of this game at SoFi Stadium will inevitably impact playoff seeding. This is another prime example of why a team should never let the game be decided by the officials. Expect for them to get it wrong every time.

Cleveland must pick up the pieces after a monumental collapse in Inglewood on Sunday afternoon.
