The hot seat is coming for NFL coaches who suffered embarrassing losses in Week 5 including more struggles for Urban Meyer.

Week 5 of NFL action wasn’t kind to some coaches who were already starting to feel the seats underneath them warming up.

Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer narrowly avoided defeat to the Lions, though that doesn’t seem to be sparring him from an angry Minnesota fanbase.

Matt LaFleur lucked into a win over the Bengals in a game that similarly had Packers fans pulling out their hair.

Other coaches weren’t so lucky.

Urban Meyer

Urban Meyer really could have used a positive Sunday result after his drama-filled week. Instead, his Jaguars got blasted by the Titans.

No one expected Jacksonville to beat Tennessee. At home, it wasn’t unreasonable to expect them to put up some resistance. They were down by 11 by halftime and didn’t sniff their opponents in the second half.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell is in a similar situation with a team still looking for their first win after five weeks. The big difference is Detroit has clearly bought in with Campbell. They aren’t good right now, but they’re fighting.

Jacksonville has the opposite vibe. Reportedly, there were boos when Meyer was introduced. The uphill climb for the head coach looks steeper than ever.
