Pitcher Nick Pivetta was outstanding in relief for the Red Sox in Game 3 of the ALDS. His celebrations coming off the mound though? Those were meme-worthy.

It’s Nick Pivetta’s world. Red Sox fans are just living in it.

On Sunday, Pivetta was the hero as his four innings of scoreless relief as Game 3 of the ALDS stretched into the 13th.

While the performance will rightly be remembered for his incredible stuff, the pitcher also gave fans some celebration clips to share for a long while.

Nick Pivetta reached meme status in awesome Game 3 performance

Pivetta’s walk off the mound after his stint in the 11th inning was definitely interesting.

When he got out of the 12th inning, Pivetta had an even more absurd reaction.

Listen, Pivetta gets to celebrate however he wants when he’s pitching like he did in Game 3. Still, his reactions were definitely meme-worthy.

Pivetta got out of trouble in the top of the 13th after a ground-rule double put runners on third and second. Christian Vásquez ended things with a walk-off home run to give the Red Sox a 2-1 series lead over the Rays.

Boston can now look to close out the series on Monday in Game 4. Pivetta has done his job to get them there.
