Adam Duvall runs the Atlanta Braves out of an inning on a truly awful base-running blunder.

The Atlanta Braves should have been up 1-0 in the bottom of the second, but centerfielder Adam Duvall had other ideas.

With runners on first and third with one out, catcher Travis d’Arnaud hit the ball deep enough to left field to score Austin Riley from third. Instead, Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Christian Yelich threw the ball to second base to double-off an overly ambitious Duvall for out No. 3. He was tagged out at second base before Riley crossed the plate. This is October baseball. Come on, man…

Prior to his second-inning single, Duvall did not get a hit in the first two games vs. Milwaukee.

Adam Duvall runs Atlanta Braves out of an inning in embarrassing fashion

It might be the heat of the moment, but this is not his first trip to the postseason. This may not be an elimination game, but the Braves are expected to hold serve and take Game 3 at home. Since runs have been so hard to come by in this best-of-seven series for either team, the last thing Braves Country wants is for the home team to commit another egregious blunder like this one.

Atlanta has time, but this horrendous base-running gaffe by Duvall could prove very costly.
