An argument between two men after Alabama’s upset loss to Texas A&M turned fatal on Saturday night.

In the aftermath of Texas A&M’s shocking upset win over Alabama, a fatal shooting occurred between two men in the Greater Birmingham area.

A postgame argument between two men broke out in Bessemer, Alabama over which team was better: The Alabama Crimson Tide or the Texas A&M Aggies. This heated argument got hot in the final minutes of the SEC West rivalry game.

Sadly, one man was shot several times in his torso. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his gunshot wounds Sunday morning.

The shooter fled the scene because everyone at the Bessemer gathering knew who he was. He remains at large at this time.

While it may mean more down south, a loss of life over a college football game is absurd. Alabama will live to fight another day, but one man lost his life over a football game well before his 30th birthday.

May his family get the peace they deserve over such a tragic loss.
