5 bold predictions for Packers against Bears
1. Davante Adams will go over 200 yards receiving (again)
Every opponent on the Packers’ schedule knows that Adams is Rodgers’ favorite receiver by a wide margin. Despite the attention he receives from opposing defenses, Adams consistently puts up Pro Bowl numbers for the Green Bay offense on a weekly basis.
He finished last week with 11 catches for 206 yards and a touchdown despite being double-covered on a high percentage of his snaps. The Bears’ secondary is less equipped to handle them than Cincinnati was a week ago.
That’s why Adams is going to go over the 200-yard mark for a second consecutive week. He’ll need to pop a 50+ yard reception to make that happen, but he’s got the run after the catch skills to make that happen against the Chicago defense.
The Packers’ front office deserves a healthy amount of criticism for not getting Adams more help over the years. He deserves even more credit for continuing to put up video game numbers when he’s the only quality starter in his receiving corps. Adams is a superstar and he’s going to play like it again on Sunday.
