Eagles fans gave Tom Brady a nice Philadelphia welcome (Video)
Philadelphia Eagles fans let Tom Brady know how they really feel with a vocal welcome during their Week 6 TNF matchup in Philly.
Tom Brady beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl, then the Eagles beat Tom Brady in the Super Bowl.
The score is settled then, right?
It looks like it never will be.
Eagles fans were sure to give TB12 a very energetic welcome as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback trotted around Lincoln Financial Field before their Thursday kickoff.
Famous for nursing the chip on his shoulder, the former sixth round pick used the negative energy to propel his team to a touchdown on their first drive.
Eagles fans boo Tom Brady as he circles field before TNF
Brady, who played for the New England Patriots for 20 years, has done his fair share of terrorizing the Eagles.
In the seven times Brady played the Eagles as a Patriot, he defeated them five out of seven times. The only times Philly took the edge was in December 2015 and, of course, in February 2018 during Super Bowl LII.
Despite the 41-33 loss, Brady had a historic game: he passed for 505 yards, the most passing yards in Super Bowl history.
Speaking of history, both Brady and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts have a historic game ahead of them. If Brady scores five touchdowns, he’ll surpass Peyton Manning for the most 5-touchdown games in NFL history. In his tenth start, Hurts continues an NFL start that rivals some of the best quarterbacks in NFL history.
So far, the teams have each scored on every offensive drive, making it 14-7 as the Bucs lead in the second quarter.
