Star Boston Red Sox hurler is ready to try and shut up the Houston Astros when the two teams face off in the ALCS.

Leading up to Game 1 of the ALCS on Friday night, we’ve already got some drama brewing between the Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros. That’s because standout pitcher Nathan Eovaldi is ready to silence Houston in the best way possible.

Eovaldi didn’t hold back in a recent interview, saying that while he doesn’t hate any teams in the league, he surely doesn’t love the Astros. More specifically, an old social media post by Alex Bregman is something that remains fresh in his mind.

Nathan Eovaldi hasn’t forgotten about Alex Bregman trolling him on Instagram in 2018

Before the Astros and Red Sox met in the 2018 ALCS, Bregman trolled Eovaldi by sharing on his Instagram a video of the hurler giving up three-straight homers to Houston while he was still with the Tampa Bay Rays. Now, Eovaldi wants to remind Bregman and Co. that he’s not ready to back down from them.

“It happened,” Eovaldi said via NESN. “I gave up three homers back to back. We were able to come out on top that series and hopefully we’re going to be able to do it again this time.”

Clearly, Eovaldi hasn’t forgotten about Bregman trying to big man him here. While it’s up in the air when Eovaldi will be taking the mound in the ALCS for Boston, he’s going to be ready to rock in facing the Houston lineup. Think how happy he’ll be if he were to strike out Bregman? It’d surely bring a huge smile to his face. Folks can’t wait for this series to get underway. It’s sure to be a special one.
