Basketball hall of famer Magic Johnson reacted to Michigan State’s huge win over Indiana on Saturday, keeping their undefeated season alive.

The magical season of the Michigan State Spartans continues. On Saturday afternoon, the Spartans went on the road to take on the Indiana Hoosiers and left Indiana University Memorial Stadium with a 20-15 victory.

Speaking of magical, school alum and Basketball Hall of Famer Magic Johnson reacted to the team’s win with his typical post-game tweet. He praised the “great effort” by the team and “the outstanding coaching job” by Mel Tucker.

Spartans now 7-0 on season after 20-15 win over Hoosiers

Despite Spartans linebacker Cal Haladay picking off Indiana signal-caller Jack Tuttle for a touchdown, Michigan State found themselves down 9-7 entering halftime. But in the second half, Michigan State retook the lead on a 51-yard field goal by Matt Coghlin and extended it on a 12-yard touchdown pass from Payton Throne to Tyler Hunt.

Yet, Indiana did cut their deficit to 20-15 and had a chance to potentially win the game on their final drive. But after six plays, Tuttle turned the ball over on downs following three consecutive incompletions.

Thorne completed 14-of-26 passes for 126 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Running back Kenneth Walker III accumulated 84 yards on 23 carries.

Michigan State will have next week off, but on Saturday, Oct. 30, they have a huge game against their in-state rivals in the Michigan Wolverines, who are also undefeated on the year. Not only is an undefeated season at stake, but also bragging rights for the Spartans.
