Alabama receiver tweets after Mississippi State game he’s quitting team

Alabama wideout Agiye Hall took to Twitter on Saturday night to let Crimson Tide fans know he’s planning to leave the program. 

While Nick Saban and Alabama were able to record a dominant win over Mississippi State on Saturday night, not everyone was happy. Shortly after the final whistle in this one, wide receiver Agiye Hall announced on his Twitter account that he’s leaving the team.

Hall, who really turned heads thanks to his showing in spring camp, hasn’t gotten much playing time this year. Clearly he became increasingly frustrated with his lack of opportunities, leading to him saying he’s quitting Alabama.

Hall quickly deleted his tweet after it went up. With that said, it really has been a down year for him, as he’s only posted one reception for 10 yards. That lone catch came in the Saturday night blowout win going up against Mississippi State.

Hall is a true freshman on Alabama. He was an early enrollee, arriving to Tuscaloosa last winter after graduating high school early. From the Tampa Bay, Fla., area, Hall was a 4-star prospect coming out of high school and held more than 40 offers.

The 6-3, 190-pounder held additional tenders from Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Iowa State, LSU, Miami and many others. However, the chance to play for Saban and chase a National Championship was simply too much for him to pass up on.

Following Saturday’s cryptic tweet, it’s completely up in the air if Hall will continue playing for Alabama or not. If he does make his way to the transfer portal, you better believe there will be countless programs who will be ready to reach out to him to try and get him to town.
