1. Just imagine how much fun it’d be to see Lane Kiffin’s offense in College Station

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin would be an odd cultural fit in College Station, Texas, but could you imagine what his offense would look like if he had the recruits that Texas A&M is able to pull in on an annual basis?

While Ole Miss isn’t necessarily bad at recruiting, the state of Texas provides better opportunities as there are considerably more major metropolitan areas in the state. Finding a way to connect Kiffin with all of those recruits would yield a fascinating offense that Texas A&M fans would certainly enjoy.

There’s an argument to be made that there is a ceiling on what Kiffin will ultimately be able to accomplish at Ole Miss. In theory, when considering the money that Texas A&M has, the size of its fanbase and all of the alumni who have graduated from A&M, the ceiling should be higher in College Station than it is in Oxford.

Kiffin’s name is always going to draw plenty of buzz considering how quickly he was able to elevate FAU, the way he fundamentally changed how Alabama’s offenses operated, and now what he’s doing with the Ole Miss Rebels.

Again, Kiffin in College Station would be kinda weird from a non-football perspective. That said, it’d be fun to see the memes that resulted from him hanging out with A&M’s yell leaders.

Another (probably more important) benefit A&M would have to consider is how plucking Kiffin away from Ole Miss would get a talented coach away from another SEC team. It’s already tough to win in the SEC, so finding a way to sabotage someone else in your own division while still finding a way to get your own team wins is an important thing to think about.
