Josh Donaldson is clearly a big fan of Houston Astros star Jose Altuve, saying that he belongs in the Hall of Fame.

Time and time again, Houston Astros superstar Jose Altuve continues to come up big for his team. Seriously, the man is known for recording so many timely hits, especially homers, for the AL West powerhouse.

However, Altuve is still a hated man for the 2017 sign-stealing scandal that rocked Major League Baseball. With that said, could Altuve one day make his way to Cooperstown? If you ask Astros fans, absolutely. Well, Minnesota stud Josh Donaldson also agrees with that thought.

Josh Donaldson didn’t hold back in showing Jose Altuve major love on Twitter

In the top of the eighth inning on Tuesday night, Altuve stepped up to the plate with the Astros down 2-1. Boston had all the momentum and it truly felt like the Fenway Park side was going to take a 3-1 series lead.

Altuve had other ideas, though, as he belted a monster solo home run to even things up. Houston’s offense then exploded and they were able to record a 9-2 victory. To start off that hot streak at the plate, however, was Altuve ripping his big-time shot. Again, the man is just clutch.

Now, Altuve will hope to keep making things happen the rest of the ALCS vs. Boston. Should he keep things rocking and help Houston once again get back to the World Series, it’s only going to add to his HOF resume.

With that said, the sign-stealing scandal is something that’s going to follow him and the rest of his teammates for the rest of their playing days. Donaldson could care less about things, it looks like, as third baseman made it clear he wants Altuve in once he hangs up his cleats.

Jose Altuve’s Game 4-tying home run was historic in nature. dark. Next
