Saints eliminate Seahawks running game

Not only is Seattle dealing with an injury at quarterback, but to one of their key offensive players in running back Chris Carson.

The fifth-year running back was placed on the injured reserve alongside Wilson due to a neck ailment. With that, the Seahawks relied on Alex Collins to get the majority of snaps, while also giving touches to DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer. Now, Collins’ status for Week 7 is up in the air due to a hip/glute injury suffered this past Sunday against the Steelers.

The Seahawks are going to be in for a rough night against the Saints and their run defense. Through five games this season, New Orleans has allowed 79.0 rushing yards, which ranks as the second-least in the entire NFL.

Taking this into consideration, the Saints should be able to limit the running game, forcing the Seahawks to put the ball in Geno Smith’s hands.
