2. Packers trade for Hayden Hurst

Hayden Hurst has always been a talented tight end, but he has flown under the radar. He was excellent for the Ravens in 2018 and 2019. He did not drop a single one of his 62 targets, and he had a PFF receiving grade of 79.3 for the 2019 season. Nevertheless, his role was limited with Mark Andrews on the roster. Now, he is behind fourth-overall pick Kyle Pitts on the Falcons’ depth chart.

The Falcons acquired Hurst in a trade with the Ravens during the 2020 offseason. With Pitts on the roster and Hurst on an expiring contract, it makes sense for the Falcons to move Hurst before the trade deadline.

This season, Hurst has 13 receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets, and he has a passer rating of 117.5 when targeted.

Hurst would give Aaron Rodgers another weapon in the passing game, and the Packers may be able to pick up the former first-round pick for a Day 3 pick.

Hurst and Robert Tonyan would form a nice tight end duo for the Packers.

Hurst carries a cap hit of only $1.985 million, so it should not be difficult for the Packers to acquire him in a deal.
