The Atlanta Braves are heading to the World Series for the first time since 1999 but how many times have they won the Fall Classic in franchise history?

After a 4-2 win on Tuesday, the Atlanta Braves are heading back to the World Series after a 22-year hiatus from the Fall Classic. Their NLCS win over the Dodgers exorcised some demons but now they are going to have another chance at a championship.

Atlanta last saw the World Series back in 1999, but they lost that series in a sweep against the Yankees. They do have a few championships that the franchise can claim, though.

How many World Series have the Atlanta Braves won?

The Atlanta Braves have won the World Series on three different occasions in franchise history, most recently hoisting the trophy in 1999.

Most interesting, though, is the fact that the Braves have won a World Series title in every city in which they’ve called home.

The franchise captured the first in 1914 while in Boston, the second title in 1957 when they resided in Milwaukee, and, as mentioned, the last one in 1995 with Atlanta.

They’ll be looking to add the second in Atlanta as they take on the Houston Astros in the 2021 World Series.
