Clemson fans were upset with the team trailing Pittsburgh 14-7 at halftime of Saturday’s game, and took to the message boards to vent their frustrations.

The Clemson Tigers fanbase was given a heads up early that this would not be the typical, successful seasons like they’ve had in years past. That was evident after they lost to Georgia in the season-opener and fell to North Carolina State in double overtime three weeks later. But it appears that the Clemson faithful have reached their boiling point.

On Saturday, the Tigers entered the locker room trailing the No. 23 Pittsburgh Panthers by the score of 14-7. With fans not believing what they were seeing, they decided to vent their frustrations on the message boards.

Things will get undoubtedly worse after the news that D.J. Uiagalalei has been benched. He began the year as a Heisman favorite but couldn’t generate any offense whatsoever.

Clemson fans fed up after trailing Pittsburgh at halftime

Clemson did hold a 7-0 lead for the majority of the first half, thanks to a one-yard touchdown run by Phil Mafah. But that disappeared after Pittsburgh’s final two drives of the half.

The Panthers tied things up following a 23-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kenny Pickett to Jordan Addison. On their next drive, Pittsburgh faced a fourth-and-five and converted it on a 39-yard touchdown reception by Taysir Mack.

Things did not get any better for Clemson, as on the opening drive of the half, Uiagalelei had a pass intercepted by SirVocea Dennis, who returned it 50-yards for a touchdown to extend Pittsburgh’s lead to 21-7.

There will be no College Football Playoff this year for Clemson, and there are fans on the message boards that just want the season to be over with at this point. The good news for those fans is that there are only five regular-season games remaining on the schedule.
