Bye weeks are in full effect and these fantasy football sleeper running backs could be valuable for your lineup in Week 7.

The running back field is thin in Week 7 for fantasy football owners. Not only are there six teams on bye this week, but five of the best running backs in fantasy are off in Week 7.

Ezekiel Elliott, Dalvin Cook, Najee Harris, James Robinson, and Austin Ekeler are all must start on a weekly basis. Tony Pollard, Zack Moss, Devin Singletary, and Alexander Mattison were players who actually provided value depending on the week. They are all out of the lineup due to bye weeks.

That’s on top of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt missing the Thursday night assignment for the Browns, Christian McCaffrey, David Montgomery, and Chris Carson missing another week, and the murky status of Antonio Gibson, Damien Williams, and Alex Collins.

It’s a rough week for fantasy players. Still, there are options to make your lineup work. Obviously, there are replacements for the stars who are out injured. We’re talking about a week where Darnell Henderson is the third-ranked running back in fantasy on some sites. Cordarrelle Patterson went from a major sleeper to a legit top-ten option in all leagues. This is a week where things are just hard to figure out, but it’s just one week and just about everyone is dealing with it.

Which running back sleepers will help you win in Week 7 of fantasy football?

10. Michael Carter, New York Jets

Buying into the New York Jets? This must be where we are at this week. Michael Carter had a rough start to the season, but he’s been coming on in his last two games. He has touchdowns in Week 4 and Week 5, and he had three receptions against the Falcons on top of it. His averages still aren’t great, but at least he’s getting points.

The Jets are taking on the New England Patriots again, the second time in less than six weeks. Carter averaged his best yards per carry on the ground and yards per reception, another week with three catches. He didn’t score a touchdown, but that was due to a historically bad performance by his quarterback Zach Wilson.

This week, he can’t possibly be as bad, so there will be opportunities for Carter to actually hit paydirt.
