Mattress Mack will set a sports betting record if the Houston Astros do win the World Series.

Houston Astros fan Mattress Mack is all-in on his team winning the 2021 World Series.

As is tradition, Jim McIngvale, better known as Mattress Mack, will offer free mattresses for purchases of $3,000 if the Astros win the World Series. While no insurance company will back him up, he bet on the Astros to win it all to hedge his Houston area mattress promotion. Per The Action Network, Mack bet $3.5 million on the Astros to win the World Series to net $35.6 million.

After roughly $5.9 million in mattress sales at Gallery Furniture in the Houston area over the weekend, McIngvale is hoping the Astros come out on top over the Atlanta Braves.

Who is Astros superfan Mattress Mack?

McIngvale was born in Starkville, Mississippi in 1951. He grew up in the Dallas area and played college football for North Texas. He has been a Houston area local advertising personality for decades now, known for his fast-paced talking approach towards the consumer to make a sale. His free mattress if the Astros win the World Series campaign has made him a national name.

Houston may be the favorite to win the Fall Classic, but the Astros will face a worthy adversary in the Braves. Prior to the Astros moving to the American League almost a decade ago, Atlanta and Houston had a bit of a rivalry in the National League during the 1990s and early 2000s. A World Series win for either team will be the second championship for each team in their respective city.

Mattress Mack got the Astros at 10/1 to win the World Series before his marketing campaign.
