While the Atlanta Braves remain heartbroken over the news on Charlie Morton, they’ve wasted no time in replacing him on the roster with Tucker Davidson.

Atlanta Braves fans remain in shock after the Charlie Morton news. The star pitcher was cruising against the Houston Astros in Game 1 of the World Series, making their stud sluggers look average early on.

Then, Morton landed awkwardly after tossing a pitch and ended up suffering a broken leg. Talk about terrible, terrible luck. Well, with Morton obviously out for the rest of the World Series, Atlanta has already found his replacement for the roster.

Tucker Davidson has joined the Braves in Houston following the Charlie Morton news

For 25-year-old lefty Tucker Davidson, he’s gotten the call to pack his bags and join the Braves on the active roster for the rest of the World Series. This news broke on Wednesday, with MLB officially approving this move for the NL champs.

Davidson is an exciting young talent, as he made four starts for the Braves this year, posting a 3.60 ERA over 20 innings of work. Now, he’ll be ready to head to the mound whenever his number is called by Brian Snitker.

With that said, folks remain devastated over the Morton news. This team has dealt with so many injuries this year. Braves supporters were ready for a World Series without any extra adversity, especially going up such a strong team like the Astros.

Morton will now shift his focus to 2022, while the Braves, up 1-0 in the World Series, will be ready to keep this magical run going and win it all. Davidson will also be ready to to take the bump and surprise some folks whenever he’s asked to take the field.
