Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is not going to the Carolina Panthers, and maybe only to the Miami Dolphins.

Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper has removed his team from the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes, as the Miami Dolphins are the only realistic suitor for the Houston Texans quarterback at this time.

Thus far, the only NFL franchise Watson has waived his no-trade clause for is Miami. Though we cannot cross off the Philadelphia Eagles as a potential landing spot for him, or the Denver Broncos for that matter, it is starting to see like Watson is well on his way towards being the next starting quarterback in South Beach. This would mean Tua Tagovailoa is being traded elsewhere.

The 2021 NFL trade deadline is rapidly approaching, as Nov. 2 is less than a week away.

Deshaun Watson trade rumors: Texans QB waiving no-trade clause for Miami

Watson has not played a snap for the Texans this season due to his on-going legal situation. Until there is some resolution in that department, it is hard to see him playing another NFL game, whether he is dealt by the Texans or not. Miami may be growing tired of Tagovailoa, but they have so many other fish to fry. The Dolphins have lost six games in a row and are as bad as Houston.

As for if the Texans have another potential trade partner for Watson besides the Dolphins, keep an eye on Philadelphia. The Eagles just traded Joe Flacco to the New York Jets. While Nick Sirianni may still want to work with Jalen Hurts, his starting quarterback is a Houston native. As for the Panthers being out of it, they will continue to roll with the inconsistent Sam Darnold for now.

The clock is ticking on if Watson will be traded to the Dolphins, or to any team for that matter.
