Harrison Barnes stepped up with a monster game-winner for the Kings in a battle against the Suns and NBA Twitter was all about it.

On the road against the defending Western Conference champion Suns after a 1-2 start, your guess was as good as anyone’s as to what the Sacramento Kings had in store. But as they say, any given night in the NBA can deliver something special. Harrison Barnes can attest to that.

After trailing by eight at the half, the Kings stormed back in the third quarter to take a six-point lead. But the Suns fought back to make it a game and it was tied in the final 30 seconds of action.

Devin Booker missed a potential go-ahead shot and Sacramento got the ball back with seconds on the clock. They looked to Barnes from beyond the arc and the veteran wing delivered the goods at the buzzer:

Harrison Barnes’ buzzer-beater lit NBA Twitter on fire.

With the game-winner at the buzzer, NBA Twitter was absolutely feeling the late-night fireworks from Harrison Barnes.

Barnes has quietly been awesome for the Kings so far in the 2021-22 season, adding to that with the game-winner and 22 points on the night.

Coming into the game, he was averaging 28.3 points and 10.3 rebounds through the team’s first three games of the year. That’s a strong, strong showing early on from a player who has always been loaded with potential.

If Barnes is going to play at this level and make clutch shots like that, the Kings could be dangerous in the West.
