The Patriots had an offensive explosion against the Jets. How will they follow that performance in Week 8 when they take on the Chargers?

The New England Patriots are coming off a week in which they scored 54 points on the New York Jets. They go into Week 8 facing a Chargers team that is dynamic offensively and fresh off a bye. Can they get to 4-4 and keep pace in the AFC Wildcard race?

What to expect in Week 8 between the Patriots and Chargers

The Chargers will rebound after bad performance

The Chargers had their worst game of the year in Week 6 against the Ravens. Baltimore beat the Chargers 34-6 in a game that was completely one-sided throughout. Justin Herbert failed to reach 200 yards passing, and Los Angeles netted just 26 yards on the ground.

The Patriots defense has been a middle of the pack unit this season against the pass. JC Jackson has been good this season, but do they have the depth to handle both Mike Williams and Keenan Allen all afternoon? It’ll be a big game for Herbert and the offense. The Chargers will bounce back off the bye and get the win.
