Indianapolis Colts: Dolphins’ CB Xavien Howard

Xavien Howard has not been shy about his desire to be traded in the past. Largely due to financial reasons, Howard has expressed his desire to leave Miami multiple times. While a restructured deal was made before the season, it seems more like a Band-Aid than a permanent fix.

The Colts’ secondary has been average this year, ranking in the middle of the league in yards per game. Xavier Rhodes had a better 2020 after a disastrous 2019, while Rock Ya-Sin came into the season with a 48.2 coverage grade from 2020, per PFF.

The Colts landing Howard would be massive, as they are seemingly starting to put things together with Carson Wentz. Acquiring Howard would give them another defensive star along with Darius Leonard, and a true No. 1 corner that this team has been lacking. Both short and long term, this trade would benefit the Colts nicely.
