Ian Anderson had a no-no through five innings in Game 3 of the World Series, but Brian Snitker didn’t care.

Snitker didn’t let Anderson see the Astros lineup a third time through, despite showing virtually no adversity through his five innings of work. It better as hell work out for him.

Baseball games are managed much differently nowadays than in decades past. A few decades ago, there’s no chance Anderson would’ve been pulled with a chance at history, despite being a rookie. Yet, Snitker is willing to pull out all the stops for a win, even if it means taking some boos from his own fanbase in the process.

Snitker follows in the footsteps of Kevin Cash, who pulled Blake Snell in Game 6 of last year’s World Series. Unfortunately for the Rays, it cost them their 3-1 lead shortly thereafter.

Last no-hitter in World Series

Don Larsen threw a perfect game against the Dodgers in the 1956 World Series for the New York Yankees. He is the only pitcher to do so.

MLB Twitter roasts Brian Snitker and Braves

Considering the Braves have a few bullpen games coming up, pulling Anderson when he possibly could’ve given them a few more innings is a bold move to say the least.

With under 80 pitches thrown, Snitker did the unthinkable and pulled Anderson out of the game. If it doesn’t work out for him, he will never be forgiven by Braves fans.
