Georgia football has a tough decision to make at quarterback with Stetson Bennett and JT Daniels vying to play. Which way will the Bulldogs go vs. Florida?

Georgia is the best team in college football at the moment but they still have one key position to sort out before the end of the season.

What are they going to do at quarterback?

JT Daniels is healthy and practicing again, which means the starting QB job against the Gators isn’t guaranteed to Stetson Bennett.

Georgia depth chart: Stetson Bennett will start vs. Florida

According to Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports, the Bulldogs are planning to start Bennett over Daniels as they gear up to face the Gators.

Daniels has apparently been healthy enough this week to get snaps with the first-team offense in practice.

This is the latest conundrum for Kirby Smart regarding his quarterbacks. Daniels was dubbed the starter coming into the season but he missed time with multiple injuries and Bennett has kept Georgia undefeated and rolling in his place.

While Daniels has more arm talent than Bennett, the presumptive starter for Saturday has more mobility, adding a different dimension to the offense.

There’s an argument for sticking with what isn’t broken. The Bulldogs rank No. 1 in the nation and Bennett has led them to ranked victories over Auburn and Kentucky over the last two weeks.

At the same time, Smart has to factor in which quarterback is best equipped to lead Georgia to a national championship. That’ll mean beating Alabama in the SEC title game and advancing through the playoffs. It’s a huge decision to make and not an easy one.

In the short term though, it feels like Smart has it right here. Daniels hasn’t played since the end of September and Bennett is clearly in a groove. Until further notice, he should have the reigns.
