Clay Cundiff injury update: Wisconsin player released from hospital after scary leg injury

Tight end Clay Cundiff leaves the Wisconsin football game in an ambulance after a scary injury.

While the Wisconsin football team was having no issues vs. Iowa at home on Saturday, Badgers tight end Clay Cundiff had to be driven off the Camp Randall Field in an ambulance after an injury.

He had his legs knocked out from behind him while he was blocking. Cundiff’s left leg was what was seriously injured on the play. His teammates had to cover their faces upon looking at the gruesome injury.

Cundiff had an air cast fitted on his leg before he was driven off the field to a local hospital. Without question, Cundiff’s season is over, but he gave a thumbs up before leaving.

Upon seeing his injury either in-person or on television, Badgers fans and college football fans alike tweeted out positive messages in that Cundiff is in their prayers.

Hours after the game was over, Wiscons in released an injury update on Cundiff, saying he was transported to UW Hospital for further evaluation and treatment after suffering an injury to his right leg. He was released but there is no timeline for his return to the field and he’ll continue to undergo further treatment for his injury.

Here is to a speedy recovery for Cundiff after suffering what looks to be a devastating leg injury.
