Adam Duvall’s Game 5 grand slam had MLB Twitter losing their collective minds as the Atlanta Braves took an early lead over the Houston Astros.

The Atlanta Braves had one mission entering Sunday night — win Game 5 and they are World Series champions. Outfielder Adam Duvall decided to not waste any time, as he put the Braves on the board in a huge way in the top of the first inning.

With the bases loaded, Duvall took Houston Astros starting pitcher Framber Valdez deep to right-center field to give Atlanta an early 4-0 lead. Braves fans at Truist Park lost their minds, and MLB Twitter users did the same.

Valdez loaded the bases after second baseman Ozzie Albies reached on a force out, surrendering a single to third baseman Austin Riley and a walked outfielder Eddie Rosario on five pitches. That was when Duvall decided that none of his teammates were stranded on base.

Duvall smelled blood in the water, and he wanted to ensure that there would be no Game 6 in Houston. Unfortunately for the Braves, they lost 9-5 on Sunday night, with the series returning to Minute Maid Park.
