The Cleveland Browns are in last place in the AFC North ahead of the NFL trade deadline. They need to make some moves to ensure they make the playoffs.

It may be time for people in Cleveland to start sweating.

The Browns are 4-4 having lost three of their last four games, most recently falling to the Steelers, 15-10.

The recent struggles should make the NFL trade deadline loom larger for the team.

3 trades to help the Browns make the playoffs

Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham Jr.’s arrival in Cleveland was celebrated but three years into his tenure it’s clear this marriage wasn’t meant to be.

OBJ debuted with a 1,000-yard season. He’s been unavailable because of injuries for much of the last two seasons. Some injury woes would be less of a big deal if he was more effective when healthy. He simply hasn’t been able to forge much of a connection with Baker Mayfield.

The Browns would be better off with a different weapon on the field and Beckham Jr. himself would be better off with a fresh start somewhere else.

Moving on from OBJ could help Cleveland with their playoff push if they get the right return for him. The team could use him to make a deal for an upgrade on defense, help in the trenches or even another receiver. There are a lot of teams out there in the market for wide outs, including the Patriots, Saints, Chiefs, Packers and more. Interest should be out there.
