Carson Wentz was supposed to help save the Indianapolis Colts but the quarterback might’ve just effectively ended their season against the Titans.

After winning in a monsoon against the 49ers last week, Carson Wentz and the Indianapolis Colts seemed as if they might be on the verge of making a run. A Week 8 matchup against the rival Titans was a huge opportunity for them to prove that.

Early on, it seemed as if that would be the case and Indianapolis would keep rolling as the Colts jumped out to a big lead largely because of Wentz. But with Tennessee clawing back into the game, the wheels started to come off when it mattered most.

Namely, at the end of the fourth quarter and then in overtime, Carson Wentz might’ve put the nail in the coffin for Indy’s season.

Carson Wentz’s terrible interceptions might’ve ended the Colts’ season

With the game tied at the end of regulation, Wentz made a throw he should’ve never attempted and Titans cornerback Elijah Molden let it fall into his breadbasket and waltzed into the end zone to go up by a touchdown.

Wentz — with the benefit of a defensive pass interference call — did lead the Colts down the field to tie the game up and force overtime. But once in the extra frame, the quarterback tried to be a hero yet again, forcing a pass into triple coverage that was picked off by Kevin Byard.

That last interception allowed Tennessee to move the ball into field goal range and kick the game-winner.

With this loss, the Colts are now just 3-5 and three games behind the Titans in the AFC South. And it’s hard not to look at Wentz’s turnovers and think they would be in a much better spot right now if not for his awful decision-making.
