College football upset pick Week 10, No. 1: NC State
Rank: 19 | Opponent: at Florida State | Time: Saturday, Nov. 6, 4 p.m. ET
N.C. State was able to sneak in the top 20 of the first College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday night despite having no big wins (except for a win against Clemson early in the season) and they lost the big games already on their schedule. They failed to beat Mississippi State and Miami was able to go into their house and upset them despite their terrible season.
They are taking on a Florida State team that is desperately trying to save their season. They have a very outside chance to make a bowl game, and that got even worse with a loss to Clemson last week. The loss was made to look worse with one of the worst attempts at the miracle final play where they throw the ball across the field to try and find a seem. It led to a Clemson touchdown and one of the worst covers bettors have seen in a long time.
Right now, NC State is getting 2.5 points on the road. Tallahassee is expected to get hype for their team now that they are showing any life. The Wolfpack are excited that they were rated so high by the College Football Playoff committee, but that hype will only work as a distraction for them as the Seminoles take the air out of their balloon.
