8. Josiah Deguara, Green Bay Packers

Rostered: 0.2%

Josiah Deguara actually benefited the most from Tonyan’s injury last week. He was targeted twice, and he hauled in both of those targets for 20 yards.

Meanwhile, Lewis was only targeted once. The Packers have primarily utilized Lewis as a blocker, so there is a possibility that his role will not expand very much.

Deguara was selected by the Packers in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. With Tonyan on the IR, the Packers should give Deguara the opportunity to develop.

The Chiefs’ defense has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. So, this is an attractive matchup for whoever steps up at tight end for the Packers.

Right now, Deguara seems like the safer bet.

7. Tommy Sweeney, Buffalo Bills

Rostered: 3.4%

Tommy Sweeney started last Sunday after Dawson Knox underwent hand surgery. Sweeney finished with three receptions for 30 yards on four targets. That production is not amazing, but it is clear that he will be the Bills’ go-to tight end with Knox sidelined.

In addition, Knox only eclipsed five targets in one game this season. His fantasy production was linked to his five receiving touchdowns.

The Bills’ offense is leading the NFL with 32.7 points per game. Sweeney has a good chance of scoring a touchdown this week against a weak Jaguars’ defense.
