The Denver Broncos will look to get their second-consecutive win on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Denver Broncos put an end to their four-game losing streak after pulling out a narrow 17-10 win over the Washington Football Team. Even after a late fumble by Broncos running back Melvin Gordon in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, the Broncos defense held on to secure the “W.” More importantly, the reverse jinx of taking Washington in last week’s predictions worked out in Denver’s favor!

Now, the Broncos have an unfavorable matchup coming up this weekend against the Dallas Cowboys. Even without Dak Prescott, the Cowboys still managed to defeat the Minnesota Vikings 20-16. This is set to be a tough challenge for the Broncos this Sunday.

Here are five bold predictions for the Broncos against the Cowboys.

Broncos running backs held to under 100 yards for third consecutive week

The Broncos running game has, quite honestly, been a bit lackluster recently. Back in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns, the Broncos were only able to gain 41 yards on the ground on 14 carries. Then in their win against Washington this past Sunday, Denver’s picked up 83 rushing yards and one touchdown on 21 carries.

Denver’s running attack is going to have a difficult time running against Dan Quinn’s defense. Through seven games, Dallas has surrendered an average of 88.6 rushing yards per game, which ranks the sixth-fewest allowed in the NFL.

Pat Shurmur’s offense is going to have to rely on the passing game, because the running game will likely be rendered obsolete on Sunday. With that, we predict that Denver is limited to under 100 yards rushing for the third consecutive game.
