Last week was a weird one in NFL fantasy football. This week might get a little freaky with the injuries and byes around the league, which means the bold decisions fantasy owners make will be crucial to winning.

This week is going to be rough on some fantasy football players. Derrick Henry’s owners are in especially bad shape after he was surprisingly ruled out for the foreseeable future with multiple lower-body injuries. He could miss the rest of the season, which means we have Adrian Petersen back in the NFL. The NFL Trade Deadline came and went without any major offensive weapons moving teams despite rumors that Odell Beckham could have been moved to the New Orleans Saints.

Now, fantasy players need to buckle down as we head into the second half of the season. Most leagues are looking at the stretch run where players will try to either solidify their spot in the playoffs or look to play spoiler. There are a few players who are looking at a possible breakout season. They could start that breakout now.

We’ve seen players make massive runs in the second half of the season. They can make or break fantasy teams. There might be a team that’s dominating the league but then they lose in the playoffs because someone decided to play Drew Lock in Week 14.
