10. Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oklahoma State has been a wagon the last couple of weeks. After rolling Kansas, the Cowboys went on the road and allowed just three points to West Virginia. Oklahoma State is chasing a Big 12 title and the path to it is likely two wins over Oklahoma.

That seems like a tall task but the Big 12 race is going to be one of the most fun to watch down the stretch. Up next for the Cowboys is TCU. The Cowboys can’t make the same mistake that Baylor did overlooking the Horned Frogs.

9. Michigan State Spartans

Michigan State can join Iowa in the “We just allowed that to happen” club. After vaulting into the initial playoff rankings, Michigan State fell at Purdue. The program was fifth in the AP entering the week.

The fall will likely be similar to Iowa’s first loss, when it dropped nearly out of the top ten. Michigan State can still turn things around, but wins over Ohio State and Penn State are going to be an absolute must. That isn’t going to be easy, but we will see how Mel Tucker’s program responds.
