5 potential free agent destinations for Corey Seager

Corey Seager could reunite with Chris Woodward and join the Texas Rangers
One team excepted to be big spenders this offseason is the Texas Rangers. While they have not been competitive in years, one interesting wrinkle here is Rangers manager Chris Woodward used to be on the Dodgers’ coaching staff prior to him getting the Texas gig. Not only is Seager in the running to join him in Arlington, but Chris Taylor may be looking to sign with the Rangers as well.
The Los Angeles Dodgers could potentially keep Corey Seager around long-term
Seager might be open to returning to the Dodgers, but them trading for Trea Turner at the deadline does not make re-signing the shortstop a priority. While having Seager and Turner starting up the middle could be outstanding, it feels like the Dodgers made their decision to move on from Seager with the moves they made at the deadline. He could return, but other teams will pay more for him.
The New York Yankees are making it a priority to add a shortstop this offseason
With Gleyber Torres expected to move over to second base, the New York Yankees are in the market to add a shortstop in free agency. While there are plenty of players they can potentially target, Carlos Correa’s comments about Derek Jeter do not make him a good fit. Though Trevor Story may be the best option for the Yankees, Seager would do very well playing in pinstripes.
Another team who could be in the mix to sign Seager is the Philadelphia Phillies, but the big three teams to keep an eye on him putting pen to paper for are the Dodgers, Rangers and Yankees.
