13. Ford Field (Detroit Lions)

Unlike the team that calls it home, Ford Field is so pleasing to look at. I am not ashamed to admit I will turn on a Lions game if they are at home solely because I enjoy the aesthetic of the stadium that much.

The outside doesn’t leave much to marvel at compared to other domes around the league. I will say, though, that the brick exterior with the glass windows and screen is a charming look. From the top, it’s nothing to write home about. It’s a white, square roof with the Ford logo on it- pretty typical dome. The inside, however, is great.

It’s dark, but not too dark. The new powder blue and gray color scheme of Detroit matches the energy of the stadium incredibly well. The field is a medium green, though I did prefer the older field turf that used to inhabit the stadium.

The cherry on top, though- those gorgeous end zones. All blue with whit lettering spelling out the team name in a font that I can only describe as really neat and tightly compacted graffiti. It’s very slick and very pleasing to the eye.

Now look, I get that the Lions are more than likely going to lose by 12 and the game will be a snooze fest. When it comes down to only visuals, though- especially on Thanksgiving- the Lions are king.
