Every NFL stadium ranked from worst to best
26. FirstEnergy Stadium (Cleveland Browns)
FirstEnergy Stadium suffers from a lot of the same issues FedEx Field suffers from. Yes, it is a venue in which football is played, but there aren’t any characteristics of it that set it apart or make it unique.
The Browns have also dealt with an identity crisis with their field art over the last decade or so. They used to have the helmet logo at midfield, which looked fine. They have since opted to go with no logo at all, which does not look fine. They are unique in that way because they are the only team that doesn’t have a midfield logo, but it’s unique in a bad way.
Cleveland also used to have a really cool script font in their end zones, before opting for the brown and orange stripes. The stripe end zone is easily one of the ugliest end zone concepts in the history of football. The look they have now with the old-school helmet and the team name is easily their best in a long time. There’s nothing that is blatantly wrong about FirstEnergy Stadium, but it doesn’t do anything to stand out or stand apart from any other bland stadium in the league.
