Ranking the best games on the college football Week 12 schedule, including the Big Ten showdown between Ohio State and Michigan State.

With only two weeks left of the college football regular season, the stakes are incredibly high in conference play.

Though only a handful of teams have any realistic shot of getting into the College Football Playoff this holiday season, a few games on tap this upcoming Saturday will go a long way in shaping who can still get there. Only a few teams know they are going to their conference championship games, so how Saturday’s games play out will go a long way in determining these marquee matchups.

Here are the six best games on the college football slate for Week 12.

College football schedule Week 12: 6 best games on the week

6. Iowa State Cyclones (6-4) at No. 13 Oklahoma Sooners (9-1)

Though still a great game in Big 12 play, the one between the Iowa State Cyclones and the Oklahoma Sooners has lost a bit of its luster for a few reasons. Iowa State is nowhere near as good as many expected this year. Oklahoma is coming off its first loss of the season to Baylor last week. However, it is always exciting when Matt Campbell’s team takes on Lincoln Riley’s squad.

5. No. 10 Wake Forest Demon Deacons (9-1) at Clemson Tigers (7-3)

This game over in the ACC Atlantic offers a lot of intrigue. With a win, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons will clinch a division title and a berth in the ACC title bout with a New Year’s Six bowl on the line. Unfortunately, they have not beaten the Clemson Tigers head-to-head since 2007. This should be one of the best games in the ACC all season long. These two games are excellent, but there are four more that have bigger implications on the line.
