The upper half of the next AP Top 25 poll will be impacted heavily by what happened in the Ohio State, Oklahoma and Clemson football games.

Ohio State’s thrashing of Michigan State, Oklahoma’s nail-biter over Iowa State and Clemson’s complete evisceration of Wake Forest will all impact various college football rankings.

The Buckeyes could not have looked more dominant in their division game vs. the Spartans. While the Cyclones game them a run for their money, the Sooners were able to pull out another Big 12 yet victory. As for the Tigers, they asserted their dominance over the Demon Deacons big time in Death Valley. How will these three college football games impact the next AP Top 25 poll?

Here is what the top 10 could look like entering rivalry week ahead of Thanksgiving Weekend.

College Football Rankings: Projected AP Top 10 after Ohio State, Oklahoma, Clemson wins

  1. Georgia Bulldogs
  2. Alabama Crimson Tide
  3. Ohio State Buckeyes
  4. Cincinnati Bearcats
  5. Oregon Ducks
  6. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
  7. Michigan Wolverines
  8. Oklahoma State Cowboys
  9. Ole Miss Rebels
  10. Baylor Bears

Georgia and Alabama will stay No. 1 and No. 2 respectively in the next AP Poll. However, what Ohio State did to Michigan State is simply undeniable. The Buckeyes will go up to No. 3. Rounding out the top five will be Cincinnati and Oregon. The rest of the top 10 will be as follows: Notre Dame, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Baylor. Oklahoma will push toward the top 10.

What these three games signify are that Ohio State is a real national title contender, that Oklahoma is still alive for the College Football Playoff and even if it is a down year for Clemson, the Tigers still own Wake Forest and should return to the AP Top 25 on Sunday afternoon. With more than half of the Saturday slate still left to be played out, these college football rankings are subject to changing with the results of many other games.

After these early-window games, it is impossible to not have Ohio State as a top-three team.
