Manchester United held an emergency meeting to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after a humiliating 4-1 loss to Watford. Man U fans reacted accordingly.

Things have not been going swimmingly for Manchester United and they got worse on Saturday with a 4-1 defeat to Watford. At that point, the pressure was already ramped up on manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Needless to say, the shocking loss didn’t do the gaffer any favors. More pointedly, the unfashionable defeat ultimately led to the manager getting sacked by one of the most legendary Premier League clubs.

As reported by multiple outlets, in light of the fact that Man United were discussing terms of Ole’s exit, have reached a decision to dismiss him after four losses and just one victory in their last five matches, including the most recent loss.

Despite their recent skid under Ole, the fact of the matter is they are still very much alive in the Premier League table.

Man United is only seventh in the table, even after the loss to Watford. Though they have some form to reclaim with whoever their new manager would be, now was the right time to cut ties with Solskjaer to try and remedy the situation and get things going on the right foot while the club remained within striking distance.

Manchester United interim manager: Who will replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?

Though nothing has been confirmed by the club yet, it is surmised that Darren Fletcher will presume interim responsibilities for Man U until a replacement is found.

As to that, there is obviously no word on a replacement for Ole just yet.
