Georgia’s elite defense isn’t going anywhere with Bulldogs latest 5-star commit

Jaheim Singletary’s five-star commitment to the Georgia football program signifies this elite Dawgs defense is here to stay.

The rich get richer, as 2022 five-star cornerback Jaheim Singletary just committed to the Georgia football team.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Singletary is the No. 3 player from Florida, the No. 5 cornerback in the nation and the No. 18 overall prospect in the 2022 class. The Jacksonville native had 29 official offers at the time of his Georgia commitment. He had previously been committed to Ohio State, but decommitted from the Buckeyes program after eight months back in August.

Singletary picked Georgia over Florida in Miami on Sunday. Here is his tweet about picking the Dawgs as his college choice, mentioning head coach Kirby Smart and defensive analyst Will Muschamp in the message.

Singletary becomes the 23rd hard commitment of Georgia’s impressive 2022 recruiting class. He is the Dawgs’ third five-star commit of the cycle, joining linebacker Malaki Starks (Jefferson, GA) and defensive lineman Mykel Williams (Columbus, GA). Georgia has the No. 1 recruiting class for 2022 as Thanksgiving Weekend approaches. With the No. 1 team in the land, it’s been all Dawgs.

Though Jacksonville is a major city in Georgia’s fertile recruiting base, the Dawgs are getting pretty much whoever they want on the national landscape. It is a testament to the recruiting prowess Smart has brought to his alma mater since coming back to Athens in 2016. As long as Georgia keeps winning on the football field, the Dawgs will continue to clean up on the recruiting trails.

With a playoff berth only a win in Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate away, it is all coming up for Georgia.
