Justin Fields makes his way to the locker room after being evaluated by Chicago Bears personnel in the sideline medical tent.

The Chicago Bears continue to fail Justin Fields and it appears it has finally caught up to Fields physically.

During the Bears games against the Baltimore Ravens, Fields was taken to the sideline tent to be examined by team trainers for a rib injury. After spending considerable time with the staff, Fields was walked back to the Bears’ locker room for further tests and evaluation.

Shortly after he entered the medical tent, his backup Andy Dalton began warming up.

Is Justin Fields hurt?

Fields was taken off the field in the Bears game against the Ravens. He appears to have an injury to his ribs.

The Bears have struggled to do anything this season, and this week’s injuries to Khalil Mack and now Fields will only make things worse. Already boasting a 3-6 record, the Bears’ remaining schedule is likely going to also give Matt Nagy too much to handle. Games against the Packers, Vikings, Cardinals, and Seahawks should have the Bears abandoning hopes for this year’s playoffs and looking towards the offseason and the draft.

Justin Fields has been one of the few bright spots on the Bears’ team this season when allowed to shine. Fields is averaging nearly seven yards a completion, and despite being passed up by several teams in the draft, appears to be the player many thought he was going to be coming out of college. Even after getting healthy, there is still plenty that will need to change, however, for Fields to become an elite quarterback of the Bears.
