Oklahoma and Oklahoma State fans aren’t thrilled with College GameDay’s choice to go to The Game rather than Bedlam.

College GameDay recently announced its destination for the upcoming college football rivalry weekend and, instead of picking a rather intriguing Bedlam game featuring highly ranked Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, ESPN is having the show set for Ohio State and Michigan.

In College GameDay’s defense, the Buckeyes and the Wolverines are competing for a spot in the College Football Playoff, much like Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are. Ohio State and Michigan have dominated headlines and opponents all season and the game has plenty of potential to impact the entire college football landscape.

But with everything that Bedlam could potentially be as well, and considering how Ohio State has recently been featured on GameDay, folks in Oklahoma aren’t thrilled.

But despite what might have been a unique and interesting choice, College GameDay is going to what is arguably the most prominent rivalry matchup this week.

It’s hard to blame the folks who love the Cowboys and Sooners for being incensed here. The Game is featured on College GameDay fairly often (because of the stakes the contest often has) and so it’s natural for people to want to see something new.
