The next WWE pay-per-view event following Survivor Series 2021

Nov. 21 will mark the 35th annual WWE Survivor Series, a Thanksgiving time tradition for the company, and the sixth year in a row the event will be surrounded by a brand supremacy theme since the relaunch of the brand extension in 2016.

Survivor Series 2021 will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Following the event, fans will be wondering what comes next for the storylines as the road begins toward the next pay-per-view.

In what’s something that is a bit of an anomaly, however, Survivor Series will also mark the final pay-per-view event on WWE’s calendar for 2021.

An event, WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs, was scheduled for December (as it usually has been for December) before ultimately being scrapped.

Next WWE PPV after Survivor Series

The next WWE pay-per-view event will instead be a new special entitled Day 1, which will (appropriately) take place on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2022, from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA.

It will be WWE’s first time hosting a pay-per-view event on New Year’s Day and the first New Year-themed pay-per-view since the company held the New Year’s Revolution event from 2005 to 2007.

Day 1 will also mark the start of a new concept for WWE, as the 2022 pay-per-view event scheduled released in October notes an increased number of pay-per-view events that will now take place on a Saturday.

The schedule notes that the company’s biggest events — Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank, SummerSlam and Survivor Series — are all scheduled for a Saturday in 2022, along with the two-night WrestleMania event.

The 2021 event calendar saw night one of WrestleMania 37 held on a Saturday, as was SummerSlam 2021 in August.

Also, the NXT brand will host their WarGames PPV on Dec. 5.
