Does Amazon deliver on Thanksgiving?

Amazon is quickly becoming the most dependable thing on planet earth. We’ve all seen the viral videos of Amazon trucks driving through floods, tornados, and blizzards all in order to get whatever crap you ordered at 3 a.m delivered the next day.

And Thanksgiving is no different. The only time Amazon is fully closed is Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and sometimes there are still things that magically appear on those days.

Thank an Amazon driver next time you see them!

Why do we celebrate Thanksgiving?

Most of us know why we celebrate Thanksgiving but just in case you don’t here’s the official Britannica definition of the American holiday.

Thanksgiving Day is an “annual national holiday in the United States and Canada celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year. Americans generally believe that their Thanksgiving is modeled on a 1621 harvest feast shared by the English colonists (Pilgrims) of Plymouth and the Wampanoag people. The American holiday is particularly rich in legend and symbolism, and the traditional fare of the Thanksgiving meal typically includes turkey, bread, stuffing, potatoes, cranberries, and pumpkin pie. With respect to vehicular travel, the holiday is often the busiest of the year, as family members gather with one another.”
