The week is finally here. It’s rivalry week across college football. Are there any of the major rivalries across the college football world that will provide a major upset?

The College Football Playoff committee finally did it. They put Cincinnati in the top four, giving them a spot in the playoff and a chance to fight for a national championship. This, after Oregon lost a huge game against Utah and Ohio State just tore the doors off of Michigan State. The latter of those two could have been looking ahead to its game against the Michigan Wolverines, a game that is constantly considered one of the best rivalry games in sports. Instead, they looked like the most dominant team in college football outside of Georgia.

It’s getting to that point in the season where we are down to two or three teams who might be able to sneak into the College Football Playoff. Michigan has a chance to get in with a win over Ohio State. Notre Dame still has an outside chance of making some noise. Is that it? Does Oklahoma State have a chance to change people’s fortunes? That seems to be the end of the list. It would take a few upsets for things to change in the Playoff top four, but upsets happen every year in the days after Thanksgiving.

College football upset picks Week 12, No. 5: Oklahoma State

Rank: 7 | Opponent: vs. Oklahoma | Time: Saturday, Nov. 27, 7:30 p.m. ET

Oklahoma State is looking to make a statement for the committee, but they are facing their biggest rivals in Oklahoma, who are also trying to make their own statement. The oddsmakers are making the Cowboys a 4.5-point favorite ahead of the Saturday night extravaganza. It seems like Oklahoma State should have the advantage thanks to a four-game win streak, but Oklahoma State hasn’t faced a good opponent in a long time. Since their loss to Iowa State, they’ve faced WVU, Kansas, TCU, and Texas Tech.

Oklahoma State hasn’t won this game since 2014. That includes last season when they went into the game ranked ahead of the Sooners, yet they lost 41-13. This season, the game is in Stillwater, but that won’t be enough to take out an Oklahoma team that is angry at its positioning in the college football rankings. The Sooners will come out with an offense that’s firing on all cylinders, and the Cowboys won’t be able to stop them.
