College football upset picks Week 12, No. 2: Texas A&M

Rank: 15 | Opponent: @ LSU | Time: Saturday, Nov. 27, 7 p.m. ET

Texas A&M has some major wins this season, but they also have some utterly disappointing losses. They were one of the proudest fanbases in the country after their big win against Alabama, but a loss to Ole Miss gave them three on the season already. Now, they are facing a desperate LSU team that is looking at their final game with head coach Ed Orgeron if he loses this game.

The LSU Tigers are sitting with a record of 5-6, and their national championship-winning coach was declared a lame-duck a few weeks ago. Credit to him, he stuck around and decided to finish out his coaching year before handing it off to whoever will take over the program. That’s a level of respect that will translate to the players. They are fighting for their head coach, even if it doesn’t always lead to wins.

The Aggies are heading to Baton Rouge where LSU has played much better this season. The Tigers actually had a pretty brutal schedule, with their last two losses coming close to Arkansas and Alabama, two of the better teams in the SEC this season. Those close losses sometimes turn into close wins later in the season.

This could be a brutal loss for Jimbo Fisher, who is looking for another 10-win season in College Station.
