5 bold predictions for Raiders against Cowboys
By John Buhler
2. Yannick Ngakoue will have multiple sacks of Dak Prescott on Thursday
Of course, the other thing the Raiders need to do on Thursday to potentially upset the Cowboys is to make a few key stops on defense. While the improved Raiders pass rush did a good job of getting after Joe Burrow, it was not enough to keep the game within reach. Maybe slowing down Joe Mixon in the ground game could have done the Las Vegas game plan some good, am I right?
Though Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard and company will eat for days running the ball on the Silver and Black, the Raiders will do a decent job of disrupting the passer. The front-seven playmaker who will have the best day for the Raiders will be Yannick Ngakoue, as he will have multiple sacks of the Cowboys signal-caller. He will be part of at least three plays that bring him to the turf.
Ngakoue will bring the energy on the first series, as he will have his first sack of the day on Prescott before the Cowboys put any points on the board. So with one already on the ledger, Ngakoue will take part in two more plays that tackle Prescott for a loss of yardage. He will combined with Maxx Crosby on a sack in the second half and maybe another with Carl Nassib.
In total, Ngakoue will have two sacks on the day: One all by himself and two other half sacks.
